How to change paper type in the driver

  1. Open the document you want to print/plot in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Select File → Print.
  3. In the print window, select the printer/plotter you want to use from the drop down menu.
  4. Once selected, click the “Advanced” button.
  5. For your printer, do the following:
    1. Canon plotters: Change the media type in the Main tab.

    2. HP Plotters: Change the paper type on the Paper/Quality tab.
      The Paper/Quality tab of the HP print dialog box
    3. HP Printers: Change the paper type on the Printing Shortcuts.
      The Printing Shortcuts tab of the HP printer dialog box
  6. Click the "OK" button.
  7. Click the "Print" button.
